I’m not even putting this under a read more or an ooc. You’re all going to see it and I don’t give a flip if you read it but I’m writing it.
Anonymous hate has been increasing as of late. It’s especially vicious against various Original Characters and Certain Canon Characters in my fandom. And you want to know something? I’m sick of it. Fucking sick.
Because, do you know something? Anyone who roleplays has to be a bit brave. People who chose to play OCs or characters who don’t have the greatest in game reputation have to be braver. They have to stand there and hold out their character, someone very special to them, and put them into a story that’s already been developed. They find a way for them to fit. They write the story. They do the hard work.
So you don’t like their headcanon? So what. Everyone has different opinions. That doesn’t mean you go and flame the first OC that shows up on your dash or that you stumble upon.
Too many OCs and Roleplayers who play harder characters are deactivating because of what they have to face by you, Anon Hate. Oh, and you celebrate, don’t you? Because that’s what you wanted?
Think of it this way. The RPers stand behind their headcanon. They publicly show it to the world, because yes, there will be flaws. It’s an interpretation to fit a character. We all have our own interpretation. No one is right, no one is wrong. Even Square Enix (for I am in the FFVII fandom) isn’t quite sure of it’s own canon anymore. Fight me if you think I’m lying.
You, Anon Hate, think you’re safe because you grey-face. But you have it wrong. You all are cowards, reveling in trying to ruin something that people work hard for. The people I interact with have grown and changed. They’ve come so far, only to be torn into by cowards who refuse to say anything more than “I don’t like you, because you dared to try something new.”
Constructive criticism is one thing. Critique is another. Hate is unacceptable.
So, Anonymous haters. My pity on you. Because if I find you, you’ll wish you’d never met me.
And that’s before I let Elfe get to you.
